I was surprised to find that Kroger&#39;s had better prices on some items than Trader Joe&#39;s or Whole Foods. Once you figure out the best prices at each store you&#39;ll start saving more. <br />I will admit it is hard to get the food budget super low during the winter. Once spring and summer roll around I can add our produce in and reduce our grocery budget by a lot.<br />We&#39;re looking into joining a local CSA this summer. There&#39;s also Trader Joe&#39;s which has decent prices.
