I live in South Florida and joined an organic produce buying club this summer and absolutely love it. I receive a huge box of fruits and vegetables (and occasionally fresh herbs) every other week. I end up freezing a fair amount of it and it's made me more creative with my cooking. Plus, my kids are excited to go with me to pick it up and start eating the fruit as we unpack the box at home. My 3 year old daughter ate a huge serving of purple cauliflower last week, how cool is that?!

There is a website slickdeals.net that posts deals all over the internet and actual stores on it. I have an alert set up for "organic" and get emails anytime something organic is posted. You do have to sign up for the site, but they are great and dont spam or anything. HIGHLY recommended so you dont miss out on the amazon sales and other website sales! Hope it helps out.

These are some great tips. We also are eating mostly organic/natural. A friend and I are going to start a coop...I'll let you know when we get it up and running!!
Another tip is to avoid organic junk food.
Also, do you have any seventh day adventist stores near you? We have one and they sell bulk organic grains, sugar,and more. Also, if you're looking for grassfed meat check out eatwild.com it has a list of farms that sell it in Ohio. If you're looking for raw milk check out realmilk.com

I believe at one time that you wrote that you are around Columbus. If you find a co-op please let me know. I would be willing to drive to join. There is a great little amish ran whole foods/ organic bulk food store off of I-70 near Englewood(I know it would be a drive but if you are ever going by it, it may be a huge asset.) that has AWESOME prices! I get all of my whole wheat (and other grains) along with organic foods. I get my free range eggs and everythign there also. Good luck! We are enduring the same struggle at our home also!
