About Me!
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I started Getting Ahead 5 years ago after moving to Ohio from Colorado. I needed an outlet and we needed to live a more frugal life. We have come a long way in the last 5 years, but frugality is a work in progress. Financial freedom is a journey. We follow the Dave Ramsey plan for our finances and are debt free except the mortgage. With 4 kids though, this doesn’t mean we are home free. It is a constant struggle to stay out of debt when faced with the rising expenses of life (braces!). Join me on our journey to financial freedom through frugal living.

Hi Jennifer,
Wow 4 kids and a blog! Good for you! I have a 13 month old and can barely grasp the idea of having another one. I wonder if you’ve read The Millionaire Next Door because you have the right concept. Financial freedom is definitely a journey and it doesn’t happen overnight and being frugal and diversifying your investments and having your money work for you will help you eventually get there.
I will bookmark your site and watch you as you embark on your journey of financial independence!
