We always have gymnastics and soccer on the weekends and that is enough activities for me. But last Saturday and tomorrow are insane! We are kicking it off today though. Emma has a gymnastics meet in Columbus. I talked Kevin into taking her, so that is 10 hours or so that I won’t have to be gone, yay! I love to go to her meets, but that is a huge chunk of time and she has meets every other weekend right now. I will stay here with the other kids and take Michael to umpire training and Luke to the Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby weigh-in tonight.
Tomorrow there is a pancake breakfast for the schools. Emma will hit the bed tonight around 11 and she has to leave tomorrow at 7:30 to play the violin at the pancake breakfast. After she is done playing, we will all eat our pancakes that had better be delicious since I paid $36 for them. Then we will wait until Claire plays with the drum club at 11:30. I will then take Claire to a birthday party while Kevin takes Luke to the Pine Wood Derby which will take all afternoon. Thank goodness we don’t have gymnastics tomorrow. I haven’t heard about soccer yet, I sure hope Michael doesn’t have a game.
Does this happen to anyone else? Where you have a lot of extra things that pop up all on the same weekend? Sometimes I feel like the weekend is busier than the week.

I absolutely know what you mean. Now that my kids are getting a bit older, they’ve been voluntold to help around the house. If they don’t help us get some of the chores done, we wouldn’t have time to shuttle them back and forth. Seems to keep them motivated.
