Roasted Garlic

This is my new addiction. Doesn't it look delicious? Garlic is our favorite cold fighting remedy, but we usually eat it raw. When I made my turkey at Thanksgiving I tucked a few garlic cloves in around the turkey and they were so good! I had to figure out a way to get delicious garlic without cooking a turkey.
Roasted garlic is super easy to make, but it does take awhile in the oven. So whenever I am cooking something that takes 45 minutes to an hour, I put some garlic in as well. First cut the top off, then drizzle with olive oil, then wrap in tinfoil, then bake at 350 or 400. Can it get any easier? When it is done, just slide each clove out with the tip of a knife.
I have been buying a head or two each week at the grocery store, but when Kevin needed to go to Sams Club to pick up my Christmas present I asked him to get some garlic too. Little did I know he would come home with 2 pounds of it. I can roast garlic every day for a month with all that he bought. No, I don't eat it all myself, in fact I have to fight the kids for it. We all love it and I am sure it is helping us to stay healthier. And as far as addictions go, this one can't be bad, can it?
