Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

That is the kind of day I am having and it is only 11 am! Here is a brief recap.

Yesterday the hamster started dying a very slow death. Followed by my son completely and totally flipping out over the whole event. No one went to sleep until after 10.

Woke up at 5 this morning to other son's ear pain. Came downstairs to find the hamster dead. More crying by everyone.

Get son #1 on the bus, get dd #1 on the bus, get breakfast for my sister's 3 kids who spent the night. Try to make doctor appts for both sons. Neighbor kid comes over as I am getting a phone call from the school that son #1 threw up and could I please come get him. Um, I have 6 kids here at the moment, it might be awhile.

Get daughter #2 on the bus with the neighbor kid and get everyone else buckled illegally into the van somehow. Finally get a hold of both doctors. Pick son #1 up, while son #2 cries and screams in the car. I can tell the ear drum is going to burst. I realize I am in desparate need of gas, but can't be late for my appointment (was trying to make it until payday). Get son #1 and come home to get son #2 motrin and then race to the doctor. Fortunately my sister met me there and picked up her kids. Motrin kicks in, son #2 goes wild.

Meet with doctor, confirms the ear drum is about to burst and quickly phones in a prescription. We got the meds in him before it burst, but we aren't out of the woods yet.

Home for lunch and to get daughter #2 off the bus and then back to the other son's doctor appt to help him deal with the dead hamster. I am going to call the neighbor to see if she can keep the other two kids. Then home for a funeral and then hopefully ice cream out for dinner, because we all need a break!
