It was a busy week this week, with a total of 6 different grocery purchases. That might be a record for us, but I didn't want to pass on any deals right now. Not pictured are the 2 jugs of Cranberry juice I picked up at Target while getting a Christmas present and the 2 bags of cranberries that Kevin got at the discount grocery store. Total for those items comes to $6.08.
Above is my CVS trip. It was a great trip! After coupons and ECBs I put $.89 on a gift card to pay for everything in the picture AND I got $7 in ECB to use next time.

Next stop was Walgreens. For the above I spent $9.90 out of pocket. Not great, but certainly good deals. And we needed everything in the picture. At my regular grocery store I got the following.
Soy milk - $1 after coupon
Steamfresh green beans - free
2 Dannon yogurt
4 large cans Muir Glen organic tomatoes - $1 each
Apple juice - $.50
4 cream of chicken soup - $.30 each
mini bagels
regular bagels
apples
24 oz pack of chocolate chips
tomatoes
yams
bananas
10 lb potatoes $1.59
My total after all coupons was $24.08.

The last store of the week was Acme. We usually make our own pizza, but I like to have a couple of frozen for those crazy nights when I really want to order pizza. This is much cheaper. I got our favorite for $3, so I bought 4 of them. The turkey sausages were free, with overage and the cereal was just $.88. My total at this store was $22.09.
My total for the week was $62.15. Not great, but not bad either. Really $5 of that was for toiletries, so my actual food total is lower. Now I just have to fit a turkey into next weeks purchases.

I know exactly how you feel with the budget being tight. I'm working to fit in a dumpster being delivered next week and Thanksgiving - thankfully it is just Bear and I but he LOVES Thanksgiving with all the frills - good thing is we have almost everything we need but the turkey.
We are now saving for a new roof!
Good for you saving for the roof Nancy. It is a big project isn't it? But worth it in the end. Good luck fitting everything into your tight budget.
Great trip to CVS. We are needing the Kleenx right now!
