We have had our final kid's birthday of the year and order has been restored. My kids were basically all born about 2 years apart. But for some months of the year it appears that it is 3 or 1 and I can never get it straight and have to think way to hard. Now, I am back to 11, 9, 7, and 5. Ah, much easier to remember.
Emma turned 9 on Thursday. We had 4 girls over for personal pizzas that the girls topped themselves. Unfortunately I was too busy running around to get any pictures, but they all loved it and everyone wants to do the personal pizzas every time now. There was lots of playing with dolls and they watched a movie Emma had received as one of her presents. I love simple parties like this. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was a very frugal birthday party. The only thing I had to buy that I didn't already have on hand was a thing of icing. I made a 9x13 pan of chocolate chip cookies and iced them as her cake.
Now it is time to seriously think about Christmas shopping and figure out what I am getting Kevin for his birthday in December.

After doing a themed-birthday party and stressing myself out,I agree, simple is better! I'd rather focus on the birthday person and have extra to spend on a gift than have special decorations.
