Do you know that saying...

Cleaning house while the kids are still growing is like shoveling snow while it is still snowing. I came up with another one.

Raking leaves while the wind is still blowing is like shoveling snow while it is still snowing.

I'm not sure why I am bothering with the leaves yet, but I just can't sit back and see them covering my grass. Our leaf pick up isn't for another 2 weeks when it really needs to be happening now. Fortunately the weather has been pretty good so I have been raking every chance I get. But they just keep falling.

And whenever I get a pile going, Ralphie goes and rolls around in it, messing it all up. Its a good thing he is so cute!

Looks like he is having a great time!

My kids would love to be out playing in a big ol' pile of leaves but we have gotten over 3" of rain in 12 hours so I am afraid there will be no leaf jumping in our near future :(

Sara, I was trying to beat the rain and get the leaves up off the grass before the several day storm we are expecting. they have to dry out eventually, right?
