100 Ways We Save Money - Part 3, Vacation Edition

Whenever I get a chance, I write about ways we save money. You can check out the first 2 posts here and here. Because we just saved money even while on vacation, I thought this post would be about how we did that.

#16 - The first person who went to the grocery store, signed up for a temporary store card, then we shared it. I save over $50 on my shopping alone by using this card.

#17 - We asked for a group discount when we went to Battleship NC. We saved $12 off the regular rate, if I did my math right.

#18 - While we were at the grocery store, we grabbed a few local coupon books. We saved $30 off our putt putting alone with this. We used several other coupons from the books throughout the week.

#19 - I packed snacks and a cooler from home. For all our driving, we bought snacks only 1 time.

#20 - I cashed in my Mypoints points I had saved and netted $60 in gift cards for the trip. $30 at Subway bought lunch on the way home, $20 at BP bought a half a tank of gas and $10 at Starbucks gave us the caffeine we needed to make the drive.
