June 1st

I made a small grocery trip today. Kevin had been digging through the fridge for a few days in search of fruit and yogurt. I had hoped to not shop for a couple of weeks after my family left, but in the end I had to. The total was $18.85. Claire has been throwing up, so I wanted to get some apples in the house and paid $1.99 a pound, yikes! But did you know that if you are feeling nauseous you can eat an apple (skin and all) and that will prevent you from throwing up?

For food today we had the following -

breakfast - muffins and mandarin oranges, the boys split a boiled egg

lunch - ramen with grated cheese for me, Kevin got a free lunch at school, Michael took a bologna sandwich, a pear cup and a cupcake, Emma and Luke had hotdogs, strawberries and ritz crackers. Claire had gatorade and crackers.

Dinner - garlic/lime chicken over cous cous, green beans, pickles and tomatoes

Snack tonight will be apple sauce

Your photo reminds me that I'm going to have to take the plunge and start buying 2 gallons of milk at a time. There's just 3 of us, but I do my "big" grocery shopping once every two weeks.

Can you see where this is going? I always run out of milk and have to go back to the store for another gallon. And that means spending more, because it's hard to just buy one item!

I'm looking forward to your series this month!
