Easy ways to save money!
1. Get your ink cartridges refilled instead of purchasing new, this should cut your expense in half for ink.
2. Buy a big bag of chips or cookies and take a couple of minutes to divide it up into ziploc bags for lunches. This will save money over buying individual packages and makes it very easy to grab and go when packing lunche. (You are packing your lunch right?)
3. Plan a dinner this week that does not include meat in it. Quesadillas, baked potatoes, and spaghetti are a few easy examples. Meatless meals are typically faster to cook anyway, so save time and money.
4. Check out your library - even if you can only do it online. You will probably be surprised at everything the libraries are offering these days.
5. Make scratch muffins for your breakfasts. Don't have time? Make them the night before while dinner is cooking.
6. Plan out your menu for this week, so you won't be tempted to eat out. Try to use your crock pot for at least one meal. Did you know cooking dinner in the oven uses 3 times as much electricity as cooking it all day in the crock pot?
7. If you have credit card debt, call the company and request a lower interest rate.
8. Call your cable company and request a lower rate. Better yet, drop some of those expensive channels that you don't have time to watch anyway.
9. Try to figure out a way to plant some veggies this summer. Even a pot on the patio will yield you more zucchini than you will want to deal with all summer. That's OK though, you can always freeze it.
10. Figure out a way to pay a bill online. I don't do the automated bill pay options, but I will go to the companies website and pay through there. I save a stamp and I am in control of paying it, not the bank or the company.

Great ideas!!
Jennifer, I am a fellow mom blogger and was wondering if you'd be interested in mutual promotion? (I mention your blog and you mention mine) If you're interested, feel free to email me at rjjorgen@yahoo.com and I'll send you the email I sent other mom-bloggers I read. I don't mean this to sound weird or trying to solicit anything, just as one mom helping another.
